Abstract

Introduction: A revision is made on the "Blended learning" model. In-person educational model with digital accompaniment also known as mixed or combined teaching model. Objective: We seek to obtain advantages of work in virtual platforms, virtual interaction, experimentation of web 2.0 resources by applying the PACIE methodology in the design of the EVA Edmodo and Moodle learning platform: zero block, academic block and closing block to promote literacy digital education in Higher Education. Methods: A sample of 101 students from 4 Chairs of Physical Culture is studied. Physical Culture I: 27; Physical Culture II: 21; Physical Culture III: 22 and Physical Culture IV: 31. Male gender equivalent to 97.61% and female gender 2.38%. Chairs that belong to the curriculum of study of the Automotive Engineering career of a Higher Education Center of Guayaquil-Ecuador. Learning developed in the semester September 2017- January 2018, first 8 weeks. The evaluation of the average performance of the 3 selected digital tools is proposed: Blog (virtual portfolio of the student), Prezi and participation in forums which highlight rubrics by activity. Results: The average of the 3 digital tools in the first 8 weeks, semester September 2017 - January 2018 of the 4 subjects: Forum: 7.86 points, followed by Prezi: 7.13 points and the Blog: 5.19 points, the last one with the lowest academic performance. Conclusion: It is important to promote the methodology "learning by doing" in the teaching staff in the institutions as a management model, to make the most of the resources and tools of the Web 2. 0 and thus be at the same time as the development of technological, pedagogical, technological and communicational advances.
