Collaborative alternatives to the Course-Navette Test
Abstract
The Course-Navette or Léger test has been one of the traditional instruments to evaluate physical condition in Physical Education. Its simplicity to apply on a large scale and the direct relation between score and the scale were the reasons that popularized this test. On the other hand, it has been rejected by students. The aim of this paper is to show 16 alternatives that, based on the original test, improve student’s physical condition and create positive collaborative and cooperative learning environments in order to acquire many other skills: team work, role acceptance, mathematic competence, autonomy, tactical thinking and another.
