Incidence of neuromuscular performance and anthropometric profile at the time in K1-1000 meters test
Abstract
The main objective of the study was to determine which anthropometric and neuromuscular parameters were related to the performance in K1-1000 meters. To achieve that, a descriptive-correlational investigation was carried out in which six kayakers of the Argentine team, junior category, did a number of tests on neuromuscular performance in exercises with loads and, at the same time, an anthropometric assessment was made. It was sought the possible relation with the results in these tests with the times reached in competition in the distance of K1-1000 meters registered during the last Argentine speed championship. Determinations of power production were obtained using a linear motion transducer and anthropometric measurements were made according to the protocol of the International Society of kinanthropometry. There were associations between water performance reports and: a) the average maximum power in bench press (PB) and bench row (RB) exercises; b) the average maximum force and the value of 1RM obtained in RB; c) the maximum repetitions reached in pull up for 1 minute (DD); d) the Cormic Index; e) the corrected arm and thigh perimeter.
