Abstract

In Test cricket, the nightwatchman is a low-order batsman deployed near the close to protect a specialist. Their tactical objective is to survive the final bowls of the day in the last rays of daylight. While their primary aim is to defend the wicket, key players from England, Australia, and Pakistan achieved historic records by turning this defensive maneuver into an astonishing 100-run mark.
