Are Soccer Teams Playing Too Many Games this Season?
Abstract
Modern soccer is expanding at the expense of players' health. The increasing number of matches in all competitions creates physical overload that leads to injuries. Players and coaches criticize this excessive schedule, which prioritizes financial gain over the well-being of athletes. The saturation of matches also affects performance and the excitement of the game, putting the long-term sustainability of the sport at risk. How far will this relentless quest for more matches and more money go?
