Distress psicológico en estudiantes de Educación Física durante la pandemia del COVID-19

Resumen
Objetivo: Investigar los síntomas de ansiedad y depresión en estudiantes de educación física (EF) de pregrado durante la pandemia de COVID-19. Métodos: Se realizó una investigación de campo de corte transversal y participaron de la investigación 163 estudiantes de pregrado en EF, quienes voluntariamente completaron los cuestionarios HADS e IDATE para identificar ansiedad y depresión e IPAQ para nivel de actividad física; también respondieron preguntas sobre su condición social y personal y el progreso de la graduación. Resultados: Los principales resultados mostraron que los estudiantes presentaron síntomas elevados de ansiedad y depresión. Más de la mitad de los estudiantes tenían una calificación promedio de rasgo y estado de ansiedad. Más del 50% de los estudiantes fueron clasificados como activos durante la pandemia. Conclusión: Se concluye que los estudiantes presentaron altos síntomas de ansiedad y depresión durante la pandemia y la actividad física regular no fue suficiente para reducir los síntomas de malestar psicológico.
