Atividade física e síndrome do ovário policístico. Uma revisão bibliográfica

Resumo

O presente estudo tem como objetivo mostrar a incidência de atividade física na Síndrome do Ovário Policístico (SOP), sua adequação para combater fatores associados à síndrome, como sobrepeso, obesidade, resistência à insulina, hiperandrogenismo e hormônio antimulleriano (HAM); levando em consideração preditores como o Índice de Massa Corporal, percentual de gordura, razão da cintura quadril e consumo máximo de oxigênio, com intervenções pré e pós em mulheres com esse tipo de patologia. Haverá uma conceituação e síntese de alguns estudos que foram realizados neste campo para demonstrar os benefícios do movimento corporal, com base na extensa evidência dos efeitos positivos do exercício em doenças como câncer, diabetes, hipertensão, entre outros e a escassa evidência na Síndrome do Ovário Policístico.
