Abstract

International soccer imposes extreme pressure that often leads to the downfall of major global stars. Unlike club soccer, the limited time for tactical preparation and physical exhaustion after long seasons diminish the performance of key players. An analysis of emblematic cases demonstrates how media expectations and individualism break down team cohesion. To avoid disappointment, analysts must objectively evaluate the physical, tactical, and psychological state of soccer players.
