Mood States before and after a Soccer of Travinha Game in Healthy Men
Abstract
The aim of this study was to analyze mood states before and after the game of Soccer of Travinha in healthy men. The sample consisted of 18 healthy men aged between 18 and 30. The entire session on the day of the soccer game lasted ≅ 90 minutes. The soccer game was played on a court measuring 28 meters long by 15 meters wide and the goals were 1.20 meters wide by 0.80 meters high. An official futsal ball was used for the game and the match was played by two teams made up of three players each. The game was played in two 10-minute periods with a 10-minute break between periods. To play the soccer game, the participants were divided into 6 teams of 3 players and then answered the Brunel Mood Scale (BRUMS) before the game. Then the game started and after the game had finished the participants answered the Brums scale immediately after the game and 60 minutes after the soccer match. It was observed that there was a significant increase in the perception of tension and fatigue and a significant reduction in the perception of vigor immediately after the soccer game (p< 0.05). We conclude that there was a negative change acute in the mood states of the participants after the soccer game, however, 1 hour after the game the mood states returned to pre-game levels.
