Some general anthropometric indexes to detect possible talents in different sports in Ecuador

Abstract

Anthropometry is considered as a science that body proportions measures, widely used in medical sciences and sports training, specifically in detection and sport selection process. The research objective will characterize some general anthropometric and proportionality indexes that intervene in the Ecuador sport detection, for weightlifting, taekwondo and initiation basketball. Several anthropometric and proportionality indicators (Stature, sitting stature, cormic index, arm stroke, relative brazasa and skelic) are used widely in detection and sports selection for initiation sportsmen population of Equator in sports mentioned. The investigation fulfilled the purpose pursued.
