Components of professional chess preparation
Abstract
This article aims to expose and manifest the complex and varied preparation involved in chess for its effective performance as a sport, becoming specific in the professional chess player, since as demonstrated by the work of various authors, to get good results, chess should be structured around some fundamental sections such as the nutritional component of the player, the physical conditioning done up to the competition, the psychological preparation developed, the design and choice of the strategies to be used, and the advantages obtained with the help of new technologies. In this sense, there are many testimonies provided by professional chess players assessing the importance of the factors mentioned above. Gone is the idea of classifying chess as a game, as evidenced during the article, this sport far exceeds the requirements to be considered to be treated as such.
