Abstract

Sports betting is having a resurgence in recent years and provides more resources for a large number of athletes. In the United States, sports betting brings in huge sums in the most popular sports leagues: American football, baseball, basketball and ice hockey. Legal sports betting contributes revenue to state and local economies by creating jobs, generating tax revenue, and supporting various businesses across the country. Online sports betting isn't going to solve all of the world's economic problems, but with the right regulatory framework, it can boost economic growth.
