A Training Model for Understanding Soccer (TMUS)
Proposal for Learning Tactical Intelligence in Training Categories
Abstract
The objective of this article is to show a proposal for football training/learning, called Training Model for Understanding Soccer (TMUS). This model focuses on the game and the player (training process´ objects), and gives the coach the role of learning facilitator guide. Some of the most significant elements that shape a training model are addressed. After presenting the theoretical-conceptual foundations of the proposed model, some considerations on the role and relationship between coach and player are presented below; then the learning-training contents related to the significance of technique and tactics, the training activities type of the model and questioning as a strategy to understand soccer. It ends with an evaluation option and a proposal for the structure and example of a soccer training session for the children's category.
