The usefulness of the useless: the true concerns of Physical Education

Abstract

This article of reflection has a main objective to consider the reality that prevails in Physical Education within the society, where the subjective opinions are those that prosper and not the theoretical or argumentative consultation. This maintains, for this reason, that the statement of the usefulness of the useless is given, a concept created by the author Nuccio Ordine whose extrapolation is made to Physical Education. Therefore, there is a lack of knowledge of Physical Education about the educational and social fields. It should be added that the lack of competence of some subjects means that other areas of knowledge are at the top of the pyramid and Physical Education falls below them. For this reason, the reader is left with different concerns so that he can reflect, act and transform from his knowledge, in the context where he is.
