Effects of qualification on the practices of community health agents in a Brazilian state

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effects of the qualification workshops on the practices of Community Health Agents on health promotion actions for users with SAH and DM in the Family Health Strategy in a Health District of a city of Bahia, Brazil. Evaluative research was carried out aiming to make ex-post judgment. The results indicate a positive effect for several post-intervention questions. There was an increase in the accomplishment / participation of collective activities related to the habits of life. It was identified action in the territory as domiciliary visits and educational activities with all the team. There is a need to promote and strengthen partnerships between universities and health districts. Cooperation is necessary in permanent education activities to bring scientific knowledge closer to those coming from the community, and the qualification workshops that use the method of effective problematization for the qualification of professionals.
