The Paralympics Represents Apartheid in Sport

Abstract

The article approach as analytical axes the processes of subjectivation/objectification that are carried out from the very beginning of the Paralympic proposal, up to the equality/inequality verification scenarios of those subjects who are testamentary heirs of what is "para", what is parallel that is never is found. It explores and enables the need to deepen, in Latin America, the possible ways of redefining the fields of experience of high-performance athletes with disabilities, as well as promoting a break with the Paralympic legacies -from their germinal medical, historical, political and social configuration- from a critical vision towards adapted sports and parallel spaces with virtual or simulated meeting points.
