Abstract

Introduction: The sports technique teaching for directing sports training process is essential for high performance achievement, the double penalty shot in Futsal can significantly influence in results, hence the importance of studying their particularities. Objective: To determine the biomechanical differences in the execution behavior in double penal technique between high performance athletes and novice athletes of the Futsal team of Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas ESPE. Methods: The investigation is descriptive, analytical and correlational, with mixed orientation. Under an intentional non-probabilistic sampling, 18 Futsal athletes divided into two independent groups (9 novices and 9 professionals) were studied, studying the variables Highest point (PMA), Angle of knee flexion (AFR), Angle extension of knee (AER), Gravity center on the X and Y axis (CG), and the knee joint trajectory (TAR) specifying the maximum speed (VM) and the maximum acceleration (AM). Results: There were no significant differences when comparing the biomechanical variables between independent groups, except the Gravity center in Y axis (p = 0.000), although the average ranges established particularities to be taken into account. Conclusions: Although most of the evidence points to non-existence of notable differences when comparing most of study variables in independent groups, it is useful to delimit that the sum of these small differences evidenced through the average ranges could to be causes of significant differences in sports performance in general, and in the double penalty effectiveness in specific.
