Polymorphism of the enzyme creatine kinase in the sportive yield
Abstract
Nowadays, the sports performance has been studied by many factors, because long ago it was known that mainly training and nutrition was necessary to reach high levels of performance. Today, the genetic researchs have been showing that gene polymorphisms directly influences on the outcomes. The creatine kinase is an compact enzyme around 82 kDa found in the citosol and the mytochondria where the energetic demand for tissues is high. The muscular isoform of the creatine kinase (CKM) is a key to the muscle energy supply, because it catalyses the reversible transfer of phosphocreatine phosphate to adenosine diphosphate, generating the adenosine triphosphate. Its gen, the CK-MM, is located on the cromossome 19q13.2-13.3 and its absence on mice has shown an increase in aerobic performance and fatigue reduction after long period exercises. According to this, this study objective is to clarify how the creatine kinase gene polymorphism influences on sports performance by making a research on revision papers and virtual publications.
