Método Rest-Pause y sus efectos sobre la hipertrofia muscular
Resumen
Este estudio tiene como objetivo evaluar la efectividad del método rest-pause en la hipertrofia muscular a partir de la revisión de la evidencia científica actual. Se utilizaron tres repositorios de investigación (PubMed, Taylor & Francis Online y SciELO) para identificar artículos relevantes. Se analizaron 6 estudios que cumplieron los criterios de inclusión. Los resultados sugieren que el método rest-pause es efectivo para la hipertrofia muscular solo si induce un mayor volumen de entrenamiento en comparación con métodos tradicionales. Sin embargo, se requieren más investigaciones para comprender completamente los mecanismos por los cuales el rest-pause promueve el crecimiento muscular y para determinar si este efecto se debe a una respuesta fisiológica específica al método o simplemente al aumento del volumen de entrenamiento total.
