Prevención de lesiones de tobillo en jugadores de voleibol. Una revisión de la literatura

Resumen

El voleibol es uno de los deportes más populares del mundo que implica movimientos corporales rápidos y vigorosos. Los ejercicios preventivos son recomendados por las guías de rehabilitación, sin embargo, la literatura muestra una alta tasa de incidencia de lesiones musculoesqueléticas generalmente en tobillo, rodilla y hombro, las cuales pueden ser agudas o por uso excesivo. Las lesiones de tobillo se producen principalmente por contacto con otros jugadores, siendo los esguinces el tipo más común. El objetivo del presente estudio fue identificar y discutir investigaciones sobre la importancia y efectividad de las intervenciones para las lesiones de tobillo en atletas de voleibol. Se realizó una búsqueda informática en la biblioteca virtual PubMed, que resultó en ocho artículos seleccionados. Se ha demostrado la importancia de prevenir lesiones de tobillo en deportistas de voleibol, indicando un entrenamiento preventivo y neuromuscular con el uso de una órtesis cuando sea necesario.
