Rendimiento deportivo y popularidad en redes sociales

Un análisis de los jugadores en la Serie A del Campeonato Brasileño de 2025

Resumen

El fútbol profesional ha incorporado métodos cuantitativos para evaluar el rendimiento deportivo, mientras que la creciente presencia de los atletas en plataformas digitales ha ampliado el interés en la relación entre el rendimiento en el campo y la interacción con la audiencia. El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar la relación entre el rendimiento técnico y la interacción digital de los jugadores en la Serie A del Campeonato Brasileño 2025, utilizando un análisis multicriterio. Se trata de un estudio cuantitativo, descriptivo y observacional, basado en datos secundarios de acceso público, con una muestra de 36 jugadores que anotaron al menos seis goles en la competición. El rendimiento técnico se evaluó mediante los métodos SWARA y COPRAS, considerando goles, asistencias y tiros a puerta; la asociación entre el índice de rendimiento y los indicadores de popularidad digital (seguidores en Instagram y Google Trends), valor de mercado y edad se investigó mediante la correlación de Spearman. Los resultados no mostraron una correlación estadísticamente significativa entre el rendimiento técnico y los indicadores de popularidad digital, edad o valor de mercado, aunque este último mostró una tendencia hacia una asociación positiva (rs = 0,324; p = 0,054). Se concluye que el rendimiento deportivo, por sí solo, no explica la popularidad digital de los jugadores, demostrando que factores externos al rendimiento en el campo también influyen en su visibilidad pública. Asimismo, se constata que la aplicación integrada de los métodos SWARA y COPRAS resultó adecuada para la evaluación objetiva del rendimiento deportivo.
