Relación entre el perfil glucémico, la intensidad del dolor y los factores psicológicos en mujeres con fibromialgia

Resumen

Estudio transversal, cuantitativo con un diseño comparativo y correlacional que tuvo como objetivo investigar la relación entre variables psicológicas y fisiológicas en mujeres con fibromialgia. El estudio tuvo como objetivo evaluar la relación entre cambios en el perfil glucémico, intensidad del dolor, síntomas depresivos y estados de ánimo, comparando estos indicadores en mujeres diagnosticadas con fibromialgia y mujeres sanas. La intensidad del dolor, el umbral del dolor, los estados de ánimo y los síntomas depresivos se evaluaron en 28 mujeres diagnosticadas con fibromialgia y 17 mujeres sanas. Para el grupo de mujeres con fibromialgia y cambios en el perfil glucémico (FMCaltPG), hubo una correlación moderada y positiva entre los síntomas depresivos y la intensidad del dolor. También se encontró una correlación inversa entre las concentraciones de hemoglobina glucosilada y la intensidad del dolor, lo que indica que estas mujeres experimentan más y más intensos síntomas depresivos, pero pueden experimentar menos dolor. La propuesta tuvo como objetivo contribuir a la comprensión de la interacción entre factores emocionales y metabólicos en la experiencia del dolor crónico asociado a la fibromialgia.
