Resumen
El muestreo y el consiguiente análisis de los nombres elegidos en el acto fundacional de los clubes de fútbol permite construir una imagen de las opciones simbólicas más importantes que existían en la sociedad porteña durante las últimas décadas del siglo XIX y las primeras del XX.
El presente trabajo apunta a mostrar la serie de grandes temas elegidos, su peso relativo en el conjunto, así como las modificaciones a través del tiempo.

Abstract
An analysis of the names chosen in the founding meetings of soccer clubs allows us to construct an image of the most important symbols which existed in Buenos Aires society during the last decades of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century.
This work examines the series of themes chosen, the relative weight and influence of each in the overall context, and modifications made over time.
